Silk Scarves are Everywhere! You Can Wear Them in These 12 Creative Ways

We have a wide range of silk scarves at Knightsbridge Neckwear and have curated our 12 favourite ways to wear them creatively.

The Classic Over Hand- this style looks great with a wool or tweed scarf, especially a patterned one. We think this classic look is best with one end of the scarf slightly longer than the other.

Stylish Parisian Knot- this classic look keeps you wrapped up and warm in your silk scarf. This is achieved by folding your scarf in half widthways and lengthways. Simply drape it around your neck and bring the loose ends through the hole created by the fold.

The Classic Drape- this is just as it sounds. You leave the ends of the scarf hanging down over your chest to allow a casual and flowing style and is great for cooler weather.

Reverse Style Drape- we love a casual way of styling a silk scarf, making it versatile for both day and evening events. Simply drape the scarf around your neck with one end much longer. and bring it around your neck. Leave the end uneven for a more creative look.

The Reverse Drape Cross is a great way to stand out from the crowd this winter. Make one end of the scarf longer than the other as you wrap it around your neck. Make a single loop with the scarf’s long end around your neck then insert the same end through the loop you just created. Tie the knot by taking hold of the opposite side of the scarf and tucking it within the loop.

Fake Knots- a creative way to wear your silk scarf without an actual knot. Make one end of the scarf longer than the other as you wrap it around your neck. Take the scarf’s long end and loop it around itself to create a loop; then, thread the other end through the loop. To tie the knot, take hold of the other end of the scarf and draw it down and through the loop.

Twice Around- this is a perfect way to style a silk scarf in really cold weather. Make one end of the scarf longer than the other as you drape it over your neck. The scarf should be brought around your neck twice. Start by wrapping the long end around your neck once.

The Four in Hand is a fantastic way to creatively style your silk scarf. Wrap the scarf over your neck after folding it in half lengthwise and widthwise. Pull one of the scarf’s loose ends through the loop created by the folded end. To tie the knot, twist the loop and insert the remaining end of the scarf through it.

Reverse Drape Tuck- this less common style is perfect if you want to tie your scarf in a creative and unique way. Make a single loop with the scarf’s long end around your neck. The same end should now be inserted through the loop you just created. To tie the knot, take hold of the opposite side of the scarf and tuck it within the loop as well.

The Twice Around will keep you toasty-warm this winter when styling your favourite silk scarf. This way of arranging your neckwear is very versatile as you can pull up one of the scarf layers to use as a mouth covering against inclement weather.

The City-Slicker Style- this smart look is achieved by folding your scarf in half lengthways before wrapping it around your neck. You simply pull the loose ends through the loop of the scarf’s fold.

The Casual Weekender’s Scarf- this final way to style your silk scarf creatively is perfect for the countryside and coastal walks this winter. Keep one end by your neck and wrap the scarf around once or twice, then tuck both ends in.
